atkin diet
i watched a documentary on the secrets of atkin's diet the other day in National Geographic, and how people lose weight... the basic concept behind the diet is: low carb (avoid rice, bread) and high protein diet (red meat, fish, veg). the funny thing is: dr atkin does not even know how this concept works...
after conducting various researches on many people with different diets.. the nutritionists found that high protein actually made you feel full.. there you go.. that obviously explains why people start eating less and lose weight... but they also explained that they've just found that out what happens in the high protein diet, and they didn't even know the long term effect on the human body...
very interesting documentary...
